Remember the good old days of Arcade gaming ? I sure do , I remember the first time I set foot in my local arcade and set my eyes on a very popular arcade game that was out at the time. The year was 1992 , Street Fighter 2 was just unleashed on the scene and became a global success. Of course there were more games than just Street Fighter available at that time and even in the decades before. You can trace the arcade rout back into the early 1970′s. In the 1980′s the pacman craze made the arcade scene become a prominent part of gaming culture and while it was just a character that avoided ghosts in a maze while munching dots the high score leaderboards were almost like street cred if you made it on there.
Enter the present day and time and Playstation Home, a program that officially launched in December of 2008 which features game related spaces along with clubhouses and gaming areas filled with various mini games and your own private personal space of your choosing. The first mini game space I visited on Home when Home first launched was the bowling alley and low and behold it looks just like the video game arcades of yesterday. Good memorys indeed. But enough of my yammering. How would you like to be a part of a home club brought to you by Playstation Junkies! Thats right lets bring the feeling of 1992 back to the present day! This club house if you choose to apply to join us should prove to be alot of fun once we get the ball rolling , with gaming tournaments and a chance to meet and greet with fellow Playstation Junkies like myself and our own Rob Groove. Along with the gaming fun we can discuss the gaming world we love so much via the roundtable discussion group if you so choose to participate.
